CLUB LIFE

What the club does between tours

Free tours are the visible part. Behind them are trainings, museum sessions and a recruitment cycle that keeps a hundred student guides ready to walk.

Recent activities

The three things that keep the club running

Training

New members do not lead a group on their first weekend. They shadow, they are trained on the routes, and they are taken to the museums and sites they will later have to explain to a stranger in a second language.

Recruitment

Two to three rounds a year, mainly among students in Hanoi. Enthusiasm and a flexible timetable matter more than experience — everything else is taught.

Events

The event committee organises the club's annual activities, from anniversary meet-ups to internal English practice sessions. It is how a volunteer organisation keeps a hundred people showing up.

Want to be part of it

If you are studying in Hanoi, recruitment rounds are announced on our Facebook page. If you are visiting, the best way to support the club is to book a walk and leave the guide an honest review.
